MOVEMENT, CONNECTED.

Your connection.
Your data.

Last updated November 2, 2026. This notice describes the standalone Garmin experience on Dave Hannum’s website. Live connection is not available until setup is complete.

Sample mode

Sample workouts and illustrative activity data can be explored without connecting an account. Notes entered in sample mode stay in the page’s memory and disappear when you leave. They are not sent to our server.

When you connect

You authorize sharing on Garmin’s website. We never receive your Garmin password. We use your Garmin API identifier and encrypted access credentials to associate your connection with a private browser session. The session cookie expires after seven days; authorizing Garmin again opens a new private session.

What we use

With your permission, we receive newly synced activity details such as activity name and type, time, duration, distance, heart rate, and device model. We discard GPS coordinates on receipt and do not request sleep, daily health, or women’s health data in this experience. You can add an effort score and a short note to an activity.

When you choose to send a workout, its structure and selected calendar date are sent to Garmin Connect. We record delivery status to reduce accidental duplicates. Sending does not confirm that your watch has synced.

Private storage and retention

Activity payloads, notes, and Garmin credentials are encrypted at the application layer. Vercel provides website hosting and server processing. Supabase provides database storage. Garmin receives authorization requests and workouts you choose to send. These providers process information as needed to operate this experience. We do not sell Garmin activity data or share it for third-party advertising. They are not used here for advertising or AI model processing. Activity details and associated notes are retained for 30 days, with expired records removed during daily cleanup. The encrypted delivery queue is removed after processing or within seven days. Connection and workout-delivery records remain until you disconnect.

Your choices

You can change permissions in Garmin Connect. “Disconnect & delete my data” revokes this site’s Garmin registration and deletes the stored connection, activities, notes, and delivery records. Garmin-side revocation is also processed when its notification arrives. An already queued notification may remain encrypted for up to seven days; it cannot recreate a disconnected account. Disconnecting here does not delete your original Garmin activities or workouts already sent to Garmin Connect.

“Sign out on this browser” removes this browser’s private session but leaves the Garmin connection active. Connect again to view your private data or disconnect. Do not use a shared browser without signing out.
